The Good Hotel San Francisco

Not fancy, not terrible, and extremely practical — The Good Hotel melds budget with style in a package that you can’t resist.

I’ll preface this with the idea that this is not the hotel for those expecting a waterslide for their kids and a swanky view. The Good Hotel is just that — good. Rooms here are stylish, yet simple. The lobby is an homage to the hipster clientele including an old school photo booth.

I’ve stayed here a number of times and have always been satisfied. You may have some street noise to deal with, but it is an entirely comfortable and central place to stay whether on a budget or not. The neighbourhood here is a little rough, but with that comes some of the best of San Francisco.

Sightglass Coffee is nearby, Market Street is a short saunter away, Cellarmaker Brewing is around the corner, and The Mission is a short Jump Bike or Uber away. It’s an interesting place to stay if you’re not averse to a little street culture.
